Institute for Healthcare Improvement
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is an independent not-for-profit organization helping to lead the improvement of health care throughout the world. Founded in 1991 and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, IHI works to accelerate improvement by building the will for change, cultivating promising concepts for improving patient care, and helping health care systems put those ideas into action.The site will provide information about the ongoing Health and Social Care Interprofessional Education project across the two universities in Aberdeen.

Centre for Interprofessional Practice
Based at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, the Centre was formed in response to UK health and social care policy emphasising the importance of interprofessional/ inter-agency working and education in delivering first class patient care. The Centre therefore has created a combined approach to educating both pre-registration and post-registration healthcare professionals by offering an Interprofessional Learning (IPL) programme with two branches of activity: a pre-registration IPL programme offered to all undergraduate healthcare students in the first, second and third years of their professional training, and a post-registration IPL programme offered to active interprofessional/ inter-agency teams in health and social care.

Combined Universities Interprofessional Learning Unit
This site is a repository of resources and outcomes generated by The Combined Universities Interprofessional Learning Unit (CUILU), a two year project which completed in May 2005. CUILU was a joint initiative between The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University , and was the result of a successful bid to the Department of Health to become one of four national leading edge pilot sites for interprofessional learning. The South Yorkshire Workforce Development Confederation provided additional funding to the unit. The aim of the unit was to act as a 'hub and spoke' project to facilitate interprofessional learning through close collaboration with local educational and professional agencies.

Western University of Health Sciences is taking a leadership role in interprofessional education IPE in the United States. The first phase of our IPE curriculum (required for students of our 9 health professional programs). We have just launched an IPE website which includes a Bulletin Board for communication between institutions involved in IPE work
